Dr. Deidre Anderson

Welcome to RTA!

Dr. Anderson has served in Rapides Parish for 31 years as a teacher, Asst. Principal, or school Administrator.  She holds the following degrees: 

  • 1993-Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary Education from Louisiana College
  • 1997-Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership from Northwestern State University
  • December 20, 2019-Doctorate in Educational Leadership(Ed.D.) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a focus on literacy and leadership.

Dr. Anderson has served as a Principal of Rapides Training Academy for 10 years.  Her educational philosophy is to model behavior that allows educators to use their gifts to maximize the potential of each learner.  Students can best learn in an environment that promotes positivity and relationship building.  We accomplish this task by communicating the needs of students often through weekly Instructional Leadership Meetings and Teacher Collaboration Meetings.

Dr. Anderson is a licensed missionary in her denomination.  She holds many titles at the local, district, jurisdictional, and national levels of the COGIC.
